Borehole Mining U308
Safe, effective mining of uranium from 700 feet deep via a cased drillhole.
High pressure water cuts the resource while submerged. Air shrouding of the water jet allows greater horsepower at the face and faster, more effective mining. The ore is cut up to 20 feet in diameter from each borehole and the ore remains wet and safe without direct exposure to personnel.
Allows access to increasing reserves, no overburden removal, limited capital. Focused target mining of previously inaccessible pods up to 1000 feet deep.
Kimberlites mined beyond the economical pit limit.
